Love It: The Flip Mino (aka The Gratitude Challenge Day 7)

August 20, 2009

Week 1 of The Gratitude Challenge is complete! Yay! I got this cute little badge to commemorate the completion of my first week.

week1

Today’s assignment was to create a video post about how The Gratitude Challenge changed my life so far. I wimped out and didn’t want to be on camera, so I used my company bobble head to do all the dirty work. The final product isn’t exactly groundbreaking. You can see it on YouTube by following this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLsK8ummlt8

What WAS really cool was using the nifty little Flip Mino they gave us! This little device alone is enough to make me feel overwhelmingly grateful. It’s so cool! Within minutes you can film, edit, piece together and lay a soundtrack down for your movie, and then export it directly to YouTube.

Amazing.

As far as The Gratitude Challenge goes, I do think it’s changing my perspective a little. I’ve been practicing what it feels like to expect good things to happen in your life and then rejoice and give thanks when they do. I think all of us deserve to be treated well, but ultimately you have to start that trend by creating your own expectations of happiness.

This week I’ve learned that when we are looking for the bright side of life, we tend to achieve that happiness. And sometimes, when we are very lucky, we even get to play with cool toys as a part of the journey.
